About the Business
Gowland and Dawson Limited were established in 1967 by William Dawson and Arthur Gowland. Based in Roseberry Street, Monkwearmouth, the main focus of the business is all aspects of the construction industry and the manufacture of purpose built joinery products. Following the death of Arthur, William continued the business and was joined in 1978 by his son Steven Dawson and then in 1982 by his son Michael Dawson. The company expanded and relocated to the Crowther Industrial Estate in 2004.
